A new Christian tactic?
I’m used to the semi-weekly “You’re going to Hell” e-mail, as well as the regular belligerent “You have no idea what you’re talking about” comments. But this latest round seems to be trying to more discouraging than contrary.

God Says Kill Horny Women
It took me a while to figure out why religions hate extramarital sex. For the longest time I just figured they were a bunch of up-tight prudes that couldn’t get laid and thus didn’t want anyone else to get laid either. Granted, a lot of them these days do fit into that category, but I don’t think that’s how the whole thing started.

Spain’s Stolen Babies: 300,000 Children Abducted by Nuns and Sold
BBC is running a story this week on a long-running adoption scam wherein ‘good” nuns and priests stole an estimated 300,000 children from their mothers in order to sell them for adoption. This went on for fifty years, and the scope of it is only now coming to light. Young, unwed mothers were told that their child had died and that no burial services would be performed. The child was them sold off to good, Christian parents how would be able to bring the child up “right”.

The Origin and Invention of St. Valentine’s Day
The apostle Paul once wrote, “Tt is better to marry than to burn in Hell.” (1 Cor 7:9).
Paul was obviously never married.
